Round-UpCelebrate Colour, Celebrate The All-Encompassing Peach Fuzz

On the occasion of Holi, a festival of harvest, new beginnings, and camaraderie, here's listing five timepieces that sport this hue now known to also celebrate the spirit of community and belonging

May We Recommend

“This is a warm and cozy shade that highlights a desire for togetherness with others or enjoying a moment of stillness and the feeling of sanctuary this creates.” This is how Laurie Pressman, Vice President of Pantone Color Institute, introduced the 2024 colour of the year, Peach Fuzz. Stemming from the same pigment family as nude, peach, pale coral, salmon, diluted orange tones, the shade for many evokes the gentle pallor of an early sunrise or a breezy summer’s day. In the watchmaking world, salmon and peach have made an impression on dials and straps, with rose gold at times appearing similar to this pallette. On the occasion of Holi, a festival of harvest, new beginnings, and camaraderie, here’s listing five timepieces that sport this hue now known to also celebrate the spirit of community and belonging.

Excellence La Petite Seconde Metropolis Louis Erard X The Horophile Salmon

Ripple Effect

The Louis Erard Metropolis watch draws inspiration from the New York brand of Art Deco, rather its later phase ‘neo-deco’. Certain timekeeping deserves special mention. Like the black anthracite hour and minute baton-shaped hands resemble silhouettes of the Art-Deco Empire State Building. Arabic numeral hour markers and circular dial borders feature a skeletal structure. Rippled, gadrooned-style pattern at the coaxial creates a beautiful juxtaposition against the smooth circular satin-finish chapter ring and small seconds sub-dial.
