Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Red Gold

A beautiful timepiece from the house of Jaquet Droz, a watchmaker whose horological marvels have been appreciated by kings and emperors of Europe and Asia since the early 17th century. Inspired by the pocket watch created by Pierre Jaquet-Droz in 1784, the Grande Seconde collection is a modern take on the iconic design with a subtle mix of sportiness and modernity.

The Grand Seconde is immediately identifiable by it’s two off-centered dials that describe a figure eight with great purity of line. The hour dial with Roman numerals and elegant red gold hands with Super LumiNova tips has Arabic indices at 7,6 and 5 o’clock, again in white Super-LumiNova merging with the large seconds sub-dial.

Applied 18-carat plates and rings decorate the beautiful 45mm dial which is powered by a Jaquet Droz 2663A-S automatic movement with ruthenium finish. The watch has an 18-carat white gold oscillating weight with black PVD finish visible through the transparent caseback.

With a power reserve of 68 hours and a natural black rubber strap with a decorated red gold folding clasp, the timepiece is an ideal watch for all occasions. The limited edition masterpiece has an individual serial number engraved on the the 18-carat gold caseback.
