Norqain’s Adventure Neverest line was introduced in 2021 and since then, has become one of their top-selling watches. Sturdy and reliable, these timepieces stand out for their bold execution and highly functional ethos. Building up on this, the brand have introduced two new iterations of the Neverest Glacier, featuring eye-catching textured dials. The two new models—a three-hand and a GMT—come with dials that feature golden cracks on the surface, inspired by the jagged crevasses of Khumbu Icefall—the most treacherous stage of the climb to Everest’s summit. Powered by Norqain’s manufacture calibre, produced by their movement manufacturer partner Kenissi, this is the first time that the brand have introduced the GMT model with a glacier dial. These models are also closely linked to the brand’s partnership with the Butterfly Help Project—a non-profit organisation based in Nepal, which supports school children by helping them access better quality education. Norqain have supported them since 2021 and this partnership has gone from strength to strength, where 10 percent of the proceeds from sales of these watches will be donated to the organisation, established by Norbu Sherpa and Andrea Sherpa-Zimmermann of Wild Yak Expeditions.

Marked By Resilience: The New Norqain Adventure Neverest Glacier Timepieces

Adventure is an integral aspect of Norqain’s DNA since it is symbolised by a mountain peak—the brand’s logo is in the shape of two ‘Ns’ representing a summit, inspired by the Swiss Alps, and their collections capture the independent watchmaker’s adventurous spirit and their relentless motivation to push the boundaries of the industry.

The first model is a 41mm stainless-steel GMT with a stunning grey-and-gold colour scheme as well as satined and brushed finishings on the case. Here, the most eye-catching element is the anthracite dial with its gold-filled cracks, inspired by the crevasses on Mt Everest. The brand logo—in red gold—matches the facetted central hour, minute, seconds, and GMT hands—all of which feature white X1 Super-LumiNova and are red-gold plated. There’s a grey ceramic ring, which tops the bezel and features a 24-hour scale in red gold. There’s also a 24-hour scale, visible on the outer ring of the dial—where the daytime hours are marked in white and the night-time hours in black. It features a protected screw-down crown and a knurled bidirectional rotating bezel, which make it highly functional and also ensure a water-resistance of up to 100m. At the heart lies the COSC-certified manufacture calibre NN20/2, which has a 70-hour power reserve and also a jumping-hour feature, helping with timekeeping in two time zones, without compromising on precision and accuracy. The solid architecture of the movement features a traversing bridge with two-point fixation to ensure there’s negligible impact on the watch’s timekeeping performance. It is presented on an integrated stainless-steel bracelet or a black rubber strap.

The second model is a 40mm three-hand timekeeper, which also features a ‘cracked’ dial surface but in a darker hue. Here, the golden jagged lines stand out against the black backdrop, as well as the central hour, minute, and seconds hands, also plated in red gold form a beautiful contrast. They are also coated in white X1 Super-LumiNova, which is 60 percent stronger than standard Super-LumiNova. Here, the black ceramic ring on the bezel is adorned with a red golden scale and a Super-LumiNova marker at the 12 o’clock position. The knurled edge of the unidirectional rotating bezel makes it easier to grip while turning it counter-clockwise, while the protection around the screw-down crown enhances the timepiece’s waterproofness, which is at 200m.
