1. Carl F. Bucherer Patravi ScubaTec  

Dedicated to your love for the underwater, the Baselworld 2017 Carl F. Bucherer Patravi ScubaTec for women is a robust timepiece that combines high functionality with a sporty flair and appeal. The 36mm  steel and ceramic case captures the heart of the underwater. Its white finish and unusual design makes it a stylish companion to adorn while globe-trotting across the world. The greyish tone of the stainless steel bracelet combines perfectly with the white dial of the Patravi ScubaTec. It also features the signature wave pattern we have seen previously on the men’s collection. 2. Corum Golden Bridge Round for Ladies 

This year, Corum launched the Golden Bridge Round for the ladies in a multitude of colour variations and strap options. As we all know, the Golden Bridge Round collection has made a name for itself with its singular and recognisable design structure and innovation. It still remains to be honoured with the first and only watch to feature a mechanical “baguette” movement which is inspired by the famous Golden Bridge in San Francisco. Displaying its voluptuous curves this year at Baselworld 2017 is the Ladies Golden Bridge Round. Smartly sized at 39mm, the transparency of the round gold case offers a visual treat of varying depths and dancing geometrical shapes. The 18ct horizontal movement is suspended from two half-circles of the coloured hesalite structure on each side (in this case, green). The 5N gold case features round-cut diamonds that add a dash of extra sparkle to the already beautiful looking watch. 3. Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Ladies

For Baselworld 2017, Omega introduced the 2017 Seamaster Aqua Terra Ladies’ collection with a refined new case and innovative design and technical twists. The 2017 collection is available in three exciting new sizes; 38mm, 34mm and 28mm, available in stainless steel and 18k Sedna gold. Featuring “beautifully symmetrical cases”, it not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the watch but also improves the overall fit on the wrist. Using pure mother-of-pearl dials that offer a clean and crisp visual, the 2017 edition is devoid of the “water resistance” wording on the dial so as to ensure a clean and pure visual aesthetic. 4. Raymond Weil Shine in collaboration with Repetto

Lighting up like a ballerina icon this Baselworld 2017 is the Raymond Weil Shine “Etoile” Special Edition; an extension of the beautiful Shine collection. A truly elegant timepiece that is introduced in partnership with the famous french firm, Repetto that specializes in a world of ballet. Hence the timepiece is inspired by the world of ballet representing the symbol of freedom, elegance, and style. The Shine “Etoile” is elegantly framed by a 32mm round steel case that features a galvanized silver-tone satin sun-brushed dial. Marking the “ballet” inspiration is the subtle white tulle motif on the dial. The diamond studded bezel further enhances the overall elegance of this magnificent timepiece. Raymond Weil patented system of removable lugs allows the Shine “Etoile” watch to change straps quickly and with ease. Apart from the classic metal bracelets, the watch is offered in two complimentary star shades- blush pink and Crystal carbon black- both available in straps crafted from Repetto leather. 5. Movado Edge

When Movado launched this design masterpiece last year, the entire world took notice. This year at Basel, Movado re-launched the Movado Edge in a brand new avatar with a variety of colour variation and strap options. Designed by illustrious industrial designer Yves Béhar, the 2017 Movado Edge comes in a 34mm polished steel case equipped with a three-dimensional dial that is reminiscent of an industrial turbine. A dynamic re-imagination of the iconic Museum dial, the 2017 Movado Edge features a concave sandblasted silver-toned aluminium dial with a raised and polished tonal dot. The sculpted ray-textured edge combines perfectly with the polished silver-toned hour and minute hands. What is most attractive of the new and improved Movado Edge is the looped brown leather strap it is available in. A stylish addition, the leather strap is attached to a stainless steel buckle and looks beautiful while feeling comfortable on the wrist.

6. TAG Heuer Aquaracer Lady

A favorite among watch enthusiasts since its inception in 2003, the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Lady also gets a makeover this year at Baselworld. The 35mm stainless steel case features a ceramic blue 60-minute unidirectional turning bezel that matches beautifully with the blue mother-of-pearl dial. The screwed-down steel case back ensures a water resistance of a whopping 300m. The hour markers on the deep blue mother-of-pearl dial are marked by diamonds along with a blue flange with 60 seconds/minute scale index. The rhodium plated hour and minutes hands are facetted filled with white SuperLuminova that allows the watch incredible readability underwater. The watch is powered by a TAG Heuer quartz movement and is available in an array of strap and bracelet options.

7. Frederique Constant Horological Smartwatch

While news of the official unveiling of the Frederique Constant Horological Smartwatch had hit the stands a few months back, Baselworld 2017 saw the unveiling of new variations and versions added to the collection. As the basic idea goes, it is an analog watch offering connected functionalities.

The three new Ladies models are available in a 34mm case that is available in two versions- all steel and steel case with a rose gold-plated bezel. They showcase intricately detailed dials featuring a guilloché decoration at the centre of the mother-of-pearl dial with applied Roman numerals. Additionally, the watch is available in a new rubber strap in two colour variants; white and black.  The new rubber straps are soft on the skin and is water-resistant which help to transform the classic watch into an everyday active companion. An interesting addition to the Smartwatch is the “Notify” function that allows the user to be notified whenever she receives a call or an email.

8. Longines Symphonette

One of the most surprising brands this year was Longines that introduced new and improved versions of their timepieces. Apart from its massively talked about men’s collection, the new introductions dedicate to women did not disappoint either. The one that took our breath away as the Longines Symphonette. An evolution of a line that was unveiled a couple of years ago, the Longines Symphonette is a contemporary interpretation of elegance and grace. The uniquely shaped oval-shaped steel case set with 56 Top Wesselton diamonds features a solid 18k gold crown on the side. The crystal used is of top quality sapphire crystal with several layers of anti-reflective treatment. The elegant white mother-of-pearl dial marked by intricately designed 12 Arabic numeral hour markers and a small seconds’ dial at 6 o’ clock.

9. Favre-Leuba Seabird

The ideal companion for the modern woman, the Favre-Leuba Raider Sea Bird is the first women’s watch released by the recently launched Swiss watch company. A true masterpiece, the Raider Sea Bird embraces the woman of today who are independent, free and have their own unique style. It brings together aesthetic beauty combined with high functionality. The 37mm stainless steel case features an immaculately designed light brown dial and is powered by a quartz movement. 10. TAG Heuer Lady Link

This year, TAG Heuer followed up on the new Link Lady last year with three new models of the Lady Link; navy blue ray finish, pink mother-of-pearl dial and one that features a white mother-of-pearl dial with 5N rose gold plated bezel, hour markers, and crown.

Although available in different variants, the basic features of the watch remains the same. From its 32mm case made entirely of stainless steel to the TAG Heuer quartz movement powering the watch. The TAG Heuer Lady Link (the one featured here) comes in a 32mm stainless steel case that has a water-resistance of 100 meters. The pink mother-of-pearl dial features rhodium plated applied indexes with polished and faceted hour and minutes hands. The dial also houses a date display window at 3 o’ clock along with the name of the collection “LINK” printed on the dial. As mentioned before, the watch is powered by TAG Heuer quartz movement and is available in a steel S-shaped bracelet. The bracelet perfectly integrates with the case of the watch and also features a nice combination of brushed and polished surfaces.

11. Tissot T-wave Ladies

Inspired by the way “a silk ribbon swirls in the wind”, the dial of the Tissot T-Wave is something really unique coming from the brand.

The dial houses refined details like skeletonized leaf hands, a teardrop index at 12 o’ clock set with white or black mother-of-pearl at 12 o’ clock not seen on a ladies timepiece until now. The watch is powered by a quartz movement and is also equipped with a battery end-of-life (EOL) indicator. The Tissot T-Wave will be available in two variants; a polished satin and a mother-of-pearl dial – A beautiful watch that will compliment almost any occasion.

12. Bulgari Serpenti

Whenever we think of Bulgari, the first watch that would come to our minds would be the “Serpenti” . This year for Baselworld 2017, for the very first time, Bulgari announced the launch of the Serpenti featuring a wraparound leather strap in young and vibrant colours and materials. Introducing a new way of wearing this iconic timepiece, Bulgari definitely changed the game making it a suitable choice for every occasion, all thanks to its interchangeable leather straps.  13. Chopard Happy Sports Diver’s

The most technical watch on this list, the Chopard Happy Sport’s Diver is a reintroduction of the Happy Sports collection, the Happy Ocean is an out an out diver’s watch that has a water-resistant of up to 300 meters. An amazing feat for a ladies watch!

Like the name suggests, this watch is surely developed to make the wearer happy with its promise of a happy nautical adventure. The Happy Ocean features diamonds frolicking between the sapphire crystal without any setting, which thus illuminate the entire dial. The blue dial houses white hands wherein the minute hand is hemmed with blue or raspberry colours that glow at night. The free-falling five diamonds on the crystal add the extra touch of innovation and drama to the watch.  The watch is powered by a self-winding automatic movement (01.01-C) that is developed and produced in its entirety at Chopard. 14 . TAG Heuer Carerra

This year TAG Heuer introduced three major collections for the ladies; the Aquaracer, the Carerra and the re-launch of the Lady Link. The Carerra collection, as we know, is TAG’s flagship collection that is now available in a range of variations with different functions for men and women. For 2017, the Carrera collection lays emphasis on women and introduces the TAG Heuer Carerra that encapsulates a sporty and contemporary version of the women of today. The 36mm black PVD steel polished case features a steel black PVD fixed bezel with a dome sapphire crystal and double anti-reflective treatment. A screwed-down case back  means the watch has a minimum water resistance of 100m. The black sunray brushed dial houses black gold plated applied indexes and hands with black SuperLuminova.
