It’s not unusual for products to be placed on screen in a film or TV series—an arrangement that mutually benefits the featured brands and the productions they become a part of. Making quite a distinctive presence in the highly-awaited second season of Made in Heaven were Bulgari, with not just watches and jewellery, but even accessories including sunglasses and a handbag. These products were seen mostly on lead actress Sobhita Dhulipala, who carried a green Bulgari Serpenti purse and wore sunglasses from the Serpenti and Diva’s Dream collections, in addition to wearing two different Serpenti watches on separate occasions.
Bulgari Serpenti Tubogas and Spiga
Sobhita Dhulipala In Made In Heaven
One of the two leads of the hit Amazon series, Dhulipala plays Tara—business partner to actor Arjun Mathur’s Karan in the show’s eponymous wedding-planning firm. Even in a show that has been acclaimed for its impeccable costumes, for which the designers and stylists go all out, Dhulipala stands apart in anything that her character wears—casual or formal. The one accessory that is seen on her, throughout the second season of Made in Heaven is a Bulgari Serpenti watch.
The Serpenti that we mostly see on her wrist is a Tubogas edition in steel, with a single-coil bracelet.
Another Serpenti is seen on Dhulipala’s wrist in one or more sequences of the show. It’s a Serpenti Spiga in black ceramic, featuring rose gold. In one scene in particular, she is also wearing Serpenti sunglasses.
The Serpenti Spiga in black and gold in Made in Heaven runs on a Swiss quartz movement set within its 35mm case.
Bulgari Octo Finissimo Automatic
Jim Sarbh In Made In Heaven
Actor Jim Sarbh plays Adil Khanna, who is—by the end of Made in Heaven season two—(spoiler alert!) the ex-husband of Dhulipala’s Tara. With a very affluent background, Khanna is the heir to his father’s steel empire. He is also seen wearing a Bulgari watch—the Octo Finissimo Automatic in steel, with a black dial. This watch is a relatively newer version of the first Finissimo Automatic in titanium, which—at the time of its launch—became the thinnest ever automatic timepiece.
Bulgari Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT
Pulkit Samrat In Made In Heaven
Another record breaker from Bulgari, the Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT was the thinnest ever mechanical chronograph watch when it first came out in titanium, like all the first editions of Bulgari’s record-breaking Octo Finissimos. A steel version, with a dial in blue and white, is seen in Made in Heaven season two, on the wrist of guest star Pulkit Samrat, who played of the clients of the wedding planners.
Bulgari Octo Finissimo Skeleton
Pravin Dabas In Made In Heaven
Also playing a client of the wedding planners in another episode of Made in Heaven was actor Pravin Dabas. His wealthy character was seen wearing an even more opulent Octo Finissimo.
This was the Octo Finissimo Skeleton in rose gold, with a leather strap. This 40mm timepiece in rose gold showcases the manual-winding movement within, which is completely skeletonised.
