Round-UpCelebrity Watch: Omega And Hublot In ‘MasterChef Australia’ Season 15
As the 15th season of the hugely popular ‘MasterChef Australia’ comes to a close this weekend, we take a look at some of the watch sightings over the past couple of months

The 15th season of MasterChef Australia began in the first week of May 2023, on a rather sad note, with a tribute to the late Jock Zonfrillo—the chef and judge who had passed away just days before the season premiered. Zonfrillo, who had been one of the three judges since season 12, died of natural causes, but the filming of the entire season had been completed prior to his untimely demise. In his final season as judge and co-host, he was seen wearing his staple three-piece suits a little less than in previous seasons. However, spotted on his wrist, on occasion, was a Rolex Oyster Perpetual professional edition, which was most likely a black Submariner.
Another classic timepiece was seen on the wrist of Zonfrillo’s fellow judge Andy Allen. It was a rectangular watch that seemed like a Cartier. Former MasterChef Australia winner, for season four, Allen was most likely wearing the Tank Solo, which has been seen on his wrist during his other appearances as well.
Omega Constellation Manhattan
Melissa Leong In MasterChef Australia
The classics continued among the judges during season 15 of MasterChef Australia, with Melissa Leong, food writer and critic. The third regular judge and co-host, Leong has been known for her often vibrant sartorial choices, as well as her statement accessories, aside from the very eloquent and articulate feedback that she offers contestants. During this season, Leong was seen wearing an Omega Constellation Manhattan. While there is no doubt about that, the edition that she wears could be any of the several recent Constellation Manhattans in steel and gold. This is evident from the look of the bracelet, where the hinges between the main links are only in the centre of strap and not along its entire width. Earlier editions had the hinges edge to edge.
Hublot Big Bang Unico Gourmet
Clare Smyth In MasterChef Australia
Taking a step away from the classics was Clare Smyth, MBE—the first and only British female chef to hold three Michelin stars in the UK—who has been a guest judge for MasterChef Australia a number of times, including this season. Appearing in season 15 to set a pressure test—the dreaded elimination challenge—Smyth turned up wearing an Hublot watch. This should be unsurprising, since the highly decorated chef is a friend of the Hublot brand. While it was definitely a Big Bang, and most likely a Unico edition, the specific model could be debated over. It did seem like the Big Bang Unico Gourmet, which would be fitting, considering the food aspect and Smyth’s field of expertise. In fact, the Big Bang Unico Gourmet is also the watch that she’s seen wearing in the photoshoot by the brand, pictures of which, can be seen on Hublot’s website.
