Chronoswiss watches are noted for hallmark characteristics such as reeded bezels, onion crowns, and building on the classic complication of the regulator. To push boundaries even further, Chronoswiss have unveiled three additions to the ReSec Manufacture Family: the ReSec Helium Manufacture, ReSec Vertical Red Manufacture, and ReSec Obsidian Manufacture. The Helium Manufacture captures the vigour of the sun with its intense orange guilloche dial, while the other two timepieces make bold statements with equally vivid dials, portraying red Côte de Genève and galvanic black guilloche patterns. These timepieces, at the intersection of inventiveness and luxury, stand out for their vivid colour schemes and diverse textures. They pay homage to classic regulator watches of a bygone era, seamlessly blending modern innovation with timeless elegance. The newReSec Manufacture trio is powered by an automatic Chronoswiss manufacture calibre, featuring a skeletonised rotor with assorted plating and finishing for an unobstructed view of the caseback. Each ReSec model is a 100-piece limited edition to retain exclusivity and charm.
Chronoswiss ReSec Manufacture: Helium, Vertical Red, And Obsidian
Chronoswiss are on a mission to create a new generation of regulator watches that rank high on form and function. At Watches and Wonders Geneva 2024, the brand had introduced the Chronoswiss Strike Two Series with a horizontal regulator arrangement. Now, they are back with three new additions to the ReSec Manufacture series that offer a contemporary take on the classic regulator complication.
The fiery dial of the Helium Manufacture draws inspiration from traditional physics; right from the presence of the sun’s bright orangish-yellow rays to the science behind the transformation of hydrogen into helium. Its resultant gorgeous orange guilloche dial ends up mimicking the swirling solar flares, held in place by the dark blue outlines on the dial’s timekeeping elements. The Helium version features a 42mm matt grey titanium case with a contrasting orange rubber strap.
The ReSec Vertical Red Manufacture delivers exceptional sporty appeal through a striking red hue against the outlines of a dark blue minute counter, rounded hour sub-dial and semicircular small seconds sub-dial. The red dial surface has a subtle decorative feel with the intricate Côte de Genève pattern. Cradling the red dial is a titanium case flanked by matching red rubber strap.
The last timepiece of the new ReSec lineup is the Obsidian Manufacture, featuring glossy black titanium casing, elegantly accented with an 18-karat gold bezel and caseback. The galvanic black guilloche dial creates a stunning contrast against the gold bezel, further heightened by the sleek black rubber strap.
The ReSec Manufacture Carrying Forward Chronoswiss’s Legacy
These new Chronoswiss ReSec Manufacture iterations are powered by the new in-house manufacture movement C.6005. This automatic engine beats at a frequency of 4Hz and can store around 55 hours of power reserve. All three 42mm timepieces feature double-coated antireflective sapphire crystal, a screw-down casebacks with satin finishing, and onion crowns. The tightly sealed, compact titanium case ensures the watches offer upto 100m of water resistance. With each new version, Chronoswiss deliver excellent craftsmanship that seamlessly blends timeless style with cutting-edge technology.
