Finding their roots in this historic Opus iteration, the new generation models are now lighter and more passionate. To commemorate their fourth decade of exemplary watchmaking, Chronoswiss are offering a new chic and sporty model that wears a titanium case, delivering unmatched comfort and style. The open-worked dial of the Opus Titanium Chronograph takes forward the aesthetic pleasure of the very first Opus with its CVD coating, which renders a metallic exuberance. Capturing the nostalgic essence of the 1990s, the newest titanium Opus embodies the brand’s enduring spirit and their commitment to innovation while staying true to their heritage.

The Magnum Opus Titanium Chronograph

To celebrate their 40th anniversary, Chronoswiss have unveiled the Opus Titanium Chronograph—a bold timepiece that is not only an addition to the ever-evolving design language of the brand but also is an ode to the spectacular craftsmanship focused on skeletonisation. This latest offering is available in two versions—one in green and the other in quintessential blue. These models are 41mm wide and 14.8mm tall, boasting a grade-5 titanium case made up of 23 solid pieces. Water-resistant up to 100m, it is a case with a unique personality augmented by a mix of brushed and polished surfaces.

Testifying to the artisanal mastery of Chronoswiss and their Sirius collection, and just like any Chronoswiss watch, the Opus Titanium faithfully dons a fluted bezel and striking onion crown. Among numerous attributes of the case are also the double-coated antireflective sapphire crystal used for the glass and the screw-down caseback.

Apart from the lightweight titanium body, the case has been paired with a matching textile cordura strap, which has been fastened by visible screws using the patented Autobloc system on the shortened lugs for improved comfort. What makes this watch a work of beautiful design is the dial’s symmetry that brings all elements together, such as the sweep hours and minutes, seconds, analogue date, and sweep chronograph seconds, along with sub-counters for 30 minutes and 12 hours.

The black parts of the movement offer an audacious contrast when clubbed with the blue hues of the skeletonised dial, and the overall dark tone renders incredible legibility. To complete the extraordinary watch face, Chronoswiss have also equipped the dial with Breguet losange hands that are rhodium plated.
