The Case Of The Shine

The Raymond Weil Shine features a 32mm round stainless steel case with a thickness of about 8.63mm (perfectly slim if you ask us). The gentle curves of the case are reflective of the invaluable expertise the family-owned independent watch brand possesses. Catering to its name, the supremely polished case of the watch needs little to no maintenance. In fact, the polished case will stay as magnificent as on the day you purchased it.

Amongst the most popular watches from the collection is the stainless steel version adorned with 57 diamonds (0.30ct brilliant cut VVS2 to VS1) on the bezel and the dial. Protecting the watch face against scratches is the sapphire crystal over the dial. Furthermore, the screwed caseback allows the watch to have a water resistance of 50m, which can cover your watch from accidental splashes.

The Shining Face

The beautifully designed dial really does steal the show. It’s available in three variations (all three featuring a mother-of-pearl dial with a guilloche pattern), i.e., one with simple Roman numeral index markers, second, a combination of Roman and diamond studded indexes, and the third version featuring only diamond-studded index markers. Additionally, every variation of the collection also features a date display at three o’clock along with a beautifully knurled lacquer crown.

In keeping within the overall simple aesthetic of a jewellery watch, the dial houses either two silver or blue hour and minute hands. In terms of technical specs, the watch is powered by a simple yet trustworthy quartz movement, and for the ever-busy women of today, this accurate movement under the hood will make sure that you are never behind schedule!

USP Of The Watch: The Patented Interchangeable Straps

Now that you have a clear idea of the case and dial of the Shine, imagine it with a variety of straps. With the Raymond Weil Shine, you can change your style whenever you want by simply choosing the colour of the strap. The in-house research and development department of Raymond Weil has designed a unique patented system that allows you to change the strap of your watch effortlessly, in under 16 seconds (that’s right, we timed it!).

This amazingly simple system of interchangeable straps is, of course, one of the unique features of the collection. All you need to do is turn your watch, unlock the button (placed on the outer rim of the caseback), twist the caseback, change the strap, twist the caseback to its original position, lock the button and voila!
