To commemorate 12 years of exceptional watchmaking, Laurent Ferrier unveiled a new Grand Sport Tourbillon in 2022 inspired by its 2019 predecessor, reflecting the founders’ passion for motor racing. The 2022 Tourbillon in golden brown is a complete charmer with its vintage-styled barrel-shaped case and cushion-shaped bezel. In the same year, the luxury sports watch segment welcomed another Laurent Ferrier timepiece—the Sport Auto Blue with a classic blue dial. To revolutionise this luxury segment, Laurent Ferrier added the titanium Grand Sport Tourbillon Pursuit to the Grand Sport collection. Brimming with its salmon suave, the watch was awarded the Tourbillon Watch Prize at the 2023 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG). While the Grand Sport Tourbillon Golden Brown and Pursuit offer a gentle contrast against earthy hues, the Sport Auto features a dial in gradient shades of blue with an opaline finish. The Grand Sport Tourbillon watches are housed in a 44mm case, while the Sport Auto watch is a 41.5mm timepiece where all three iterations with their square cases appear distinctly bold.
Beauty In Brown: Laurent Ferrier Grand Sport Tourbillon Golden Brown
The Laurent Ferrier Grand Sport Tourbillon Golden Brown is a 44mm red gold timepiece with a matching integrated bracelet and folding clasp in 18-karat red gold. Its gradient brown opaline dial hosts white Super-LumiNova applied appliques, drop-shaped hour markers, and Assegai-shaped hands; all made from 5N red gold. The case leverages satin-brushed components and numerous mirror-polished parts for a sophisticated look. Powered by the manual winding calibre LF619.01, the luxurious timepiece beats at the frequency of 3Hz and achieves an 80-hour power reserve.
Salmon Suave: Laurent Ferrier Grand Sport Tourbillon Pursuit
The Grand Sport Tourbillon Pursuit showcases a salmon-pink dial that embodies versatility and a refined aesthetic. The pink dial delivers a striking contrast when paired with drop-shaped indexes in white gold, treated with ruthenium and filled with white Super-LumiNova. The 44mm grade-5 titanium case is paired with a matching bracelet. Like its brown sibling, the Grand Sport Tourbillon features satin-brushed surfaces enhanced with numerous mirror polishes. Both Grand Sport Tourbillon watches feature a sapphire crystal caseback, offering a view of the carriage holding the double-balance-spring tourbillon of the manual-winding calibre LF619.01.
Classic Blue: Laurent Ferrier Sport Auto Blue
Packing a timeless blue dial is the Sport Auto Blue. It features white gold green Super-LumiNova applied drop-shaped hands and indexes in white gold that contrast well with the gradient shades of blue sporting an opaline finish. At six o’clock, the small seconds dial comes to life with powdered grey markers. The titanium watch is paired with a complementing integrated bracelet. Powered by the self-winding calibre LF270.01 that beats at 4Hz frequency, the watch can store a 72-hour reserve of power.
The Sport and Grand Sport timepieces stand out for their clean lines, sleek curves, and brushed finishes, promising a fusion of contemporary design with classic charm.
