SpotlightFiaba Colours Edition: Maurice Lacroix Release Three Vibrant Models For Urban Dwellers

Swiss independent watchmaker Maurice Lacroix have recently introduced the Fiaba Trio—three models with distinct dial colours in blue, pink, or green—in collaboration with friends of the brand—Hannah Lucy Williams, Marina Correira, and Nadia

Adding a burst of fresh pastel hues to their collection of urban watches, Maurice Lacroix have launched the Fiaba Colours Edition, featuring three vibrant models in hues of baby blue, pistachio green, or blush pink, where each dial is adorned with a circlet of diamonds. A perfect blend of formal aesthetics with casual elements, these models can take one from a busy day at work to a fun evening with friends, easily.

While the newer models retain the design codes of earlier Fiaba (meaning ‘fairy tale’ in Italian) versions, the addition of coloured dials surely make them stand out, while also lending them an urban-chic vibe. Inspired by the smooth surface of a pebble, they feature round cases with integrated bracelets and neat crowns. The dials feature leaf-shaped hour and minute hands, along with a lithe seconds hand. Each hour marker is denoted by either a tear-shaped index or an Arabic numeral, except for the Maurice Lacroix logo placed at 12 o’clock. Also, the inner circle in each model is adorned with 46 diamonds, further adding a dash of sparkle to an otherwise sophisticated timepiece.

Interestingly, Maurice Lacroix commissioned various focus groups asking women what they looked for in a watch. The insights from this activity led them to create ergonomic bracelets, where the underside of each link is accompanied with a small recess for easy wearability.

Also, in designing the Fiaba Colours Edition, the creative team of Maurice Lacroix joined hands with the three friends of the brand and members of the ML Crew—Hannah Lucy Williams, Marina Correira, and Nadia. While Lucy Williams is a British athlete who regularly competes in 200m and 400m races, Correira is known for her skills in longboard dancing and freestyle. Nadia, too, along with her partner Dakota, is popular for her thought-provoking dance performances. Taking inspiration from them, Maurice Lacroix launched these 32mm quartz models, water-resistant to 50m in three cool shades—much like these talented women.
