“This is a warm and cozy shade that highlights a desire for togetherness with others or enjoying a moment of stillness and the feeling of sanctuary this creates.” This is how Laurie Pressman, Vice President of Pantone Color Institute, introduced the 2024 colour of the year, Peach Fuzz. Stemming from the same pigment family as nude, peach, pale coral, salmon, diluted orange tones, the shade for many evokes the gentle pallor of an early sunrise or a breezy summer’s day. In the watchmaking world, salmon and peach have made an impression on dials and straps, with rose gold at times appearing similar to this pallette. On the occasion of Holi, a festival of harvest, new beginnings, and camaraderie, here’s listing five timepieces that sport this hue now known to also celebrate the spirit of community and belonging.

Venn Diagram Kinetics
The 42mm Bovet 19 Thirty Great Guilloche timepiece with black DLC stainless steel case has evolved from the 19 Thirty series that feature rose gold variants with red and green guilloche SuperLumiNova dials. Appearing as two peach fuzz sub-dials intersecting each other, the two-handed top dial with Roman numeral hour markers displays the home time, while the smaller dial situated at six o’clock showcases the small seconds and the engraved iteration number out of the 60-piece limited edition.
Two semicircular sub-dials on either side of the dials showcase trademark Fleurier-style decorative symbol on the left and a seven-day power reserve on the right. Sapphire glass crystals protect the dial and caseback. Further, the skeletal caseback features an unobstructive view of the manual winding movement that offers an impressive seven-day power reserve. The watch features a sleek black leather strap—with side stitching that matches the dial’s hue—fitted to a black stainless steel buckle.
Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42

Two rectangular pushers flanked on either side of the fluted crown control the sub-dials. Other important dial elements include the slim date aperture at six o’clock and the Tachymeter outer track. The watch is powered by the COSC-certified Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 self-winding movement. Further, one gets to choose between an alligator leather strap and seven-row metal bracelet.
Excellence La Petite Seconde Metropolis Louis Erard X The Horophile Salmon
Ripple Effect
The Louis Erard Metropolis watch draws inspiration from the New York brand of Art Deco, rather its later phase ‘neo-deco’. Certain timekeeping deserves special mention. Like the black anthracite hour and minute baton-shaped hands resemble silhouettes of the Art-Deco Empire State Building. Arabic numeral hour markers and circular dial borders feature a skeletal structure. Rippled, gadrooned-style pattern at the coaxial creates a beautiful juxtaposition against the smooth circular satin-finish chapter ring and small seconds sub-dial.
Complementing the textured dial is the black grained calf leather strap with tonal stitching and lining. Additionally, the strap has an attached pinbuckle and is equipped with catch spring bars for a quick strap replacement. Beating within the 39mm stainless steel case is the reliable Sellita SW261-1 that offers 38-hour power reserve, and is operational aided by the monogrammed ‘LE’ fluted crown. Oris ProPilot X Calibre 400
Bubblegum Pop
This Oris ProPilot X Calibre 400 timepiece was the first launch of the ProPilot X Calibre 400 series that later made way for the quirky Kermit and Laser iterations. The 39mm watch appears minimalistic with the slightly pinkish peach fuzz dial featuring white contrasting elements such as slim indices, lumed-filled hands, date aperture, and brand logo. Breaking the monotony of smooth surfaces is the ribbed bezel and the integrated bracelet, fashioned entirely from titanium. Enclosed within the case and visible from the caseback—especially the logo engraved rotor—is the in-house automatic winding movement titled Calibre 400, which when fully wound, beats at 28,800vph and offers a record of five days or 120-hour power reserve. Two antireflective domed sapphire crystals further protect the dial and caseback.
Tissot Heritage 1938 Automatic
Vintage Flair
The Tissot Heritage 1938 Automatic creates a delicate contrast. This time-only version features a soft dial, sandblasted for matt finish and embossed black Arabic hour markers, minute track, three hands, vintage logo and ‘Chronometre’ signature. Encircling the pale peach fuzz dial is the robust 39mm case, 11.1mm thick, made from 316L stainless steel. While the bezel and caseback are mirror polished, the sides and the lugs are brushed polished. Rendering the watch compact are protective sapphire crystals over the dial and openworked caseback, plus a knurled ‘onion’ pull-out crown with engraved ‘T’ logo to make quick adjustments to time. Keeping the watch firmly secured to the wrist is a classic grained leather strap. This Swiss Chronometer runs on the COSC-certified ETA 2824-2 movement, providing upto 38-hour power reserve.
