Prior to its Barbie association, the Carrera collection dating back to 1963, pays tribute to the infamously wild Carrera Panamericana race, and is viewed as tool watch for professional race drivers. The hot pink dial is the only thing pink about this watch. The pink iteration Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Shades collection exemplifies the classic pairing of a cool pastel hue with glossy silver. Here, the shell pink dial is topped with hands, indexes, six o’clock date window and OMEGA logo in diamond-polished 18-karat white gold. Enclosed within the polished stainless steel case is the META-certified Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 8800 within its two case sizes in 34mm and 38mm. Speake-Marin Dual Time Pink

This Speake-Marin Dual Time Pink iteration created by lead designer Eric Giroud, fuses Miami’s Ocean Drive Art Deco with London’s Piccadilly and Great Bell of the Great Clock of Westminster (Big Ben) architectures. The Miami flavour resonates through the soft-hued Pantone 700 C pink on the rubber strap, and closed areas on the dial, while robust elements like the trademark Piccadilly case, Big Ben heart-shaped hands, lugs, bezel, bevelled bridges, are from Grade 5 titanium, coated in black PVD. The contrasting dual tone gets extremely detailed on the sub-dials: the small seconds and retrograde date sub-dial at 1:30 and dual time sub-dial with 24-hour scale at nine o’clock. This iteration is available in 38mm and 42mm case sizes but have the same 12.5mm thickness and dial size. Both Dual Time models run on the in-house SMA02 calibre, resplendent in Geneva stripes, black mirror polishing and bevelling. The Zenith Chronomaster Original Pink is a marker of solidarity towards breast cancer survivors, as demonstrated by the Swiss brand with a special edition timepiece that it auctioned and directed it sales to the Susan G. Komen foundation. While the context is poignant, the watch serenades for its metallic blush pink dial, crowded with overlapping snailed chronograph counters at three, six and nine o’clock, date aperture in-between four and five o’clock, while the hands applied in Super-LumiNova, central chronograph hands, and rhodium-plated indexes in silver-ish hues with numerals and inscriptions in black.
