Taking their unwavering dedication to the high art of watchmaking a notch higher, Speake-Marin have introduced its first-ever Minute Repeater Carillon watch. An extension of chiming mechanisms and bell towers of the bygone era, the Speake-Marin Minute Repeater Carillon is a charismatic timepiece packing multiple horological complications—a flying tourbillon, carillon minute repeater, and the animated 12 o’clock hour marker that collapses during the chiming arrangement. It is packed inside the signature Piccadilly case consisting of three main parts. While the bezel is forged in platinum, titanium forms the side case, and the caseback is entirely in sapphire or sapphire glass with platinum. Other Speak Marin trademarks are the fluted crown, stepped bezel, the rhodium-plated blue ‘Big Ben’ hands, and linear lugs. The meeting of technical ingenuity and tasteful aesthetics is reflected in the decorated calibre. The hammers, the tourbillon cages, minute repeater regulator bridge, and movement steel components such as the screws are hand-polished in black to create depth and sharp, well-polished angles.

Driven by the in-house SMAHH-02 manual movement, the Minute Repeater Carillon beats at 21,600vph and receives up to 72-hour power reserve. Comprising 536 components, this robust engine is a work of incredible patience, as the movement with all its embellishments and fine tunings takes a month to be fully assembled. This symphonic spectacle is complemented by a leather strap, available in shades of blue, red, or grey, and secured to a pin or folding buckle; creating a distinct and versatile appeal.
