TAG Heuer marks LVMH Watch Week 2023 with a host of new launches, which include the Carrera Chronograph 60th Anniversary Edition, Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph, and Monza Flyback Chronometer. The forward-thinking Swiss watch brand also introduces their signature Connected Calibre E4 in multiple renditions. Here’s a quick round-up of all the major highlights.
TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph 60th Anniversary Edition
Pegged as one of the most collectible versions of the iconic Carrera watch, the 2023 edition celebrates the timeless creation’s 60th anniversary. Limited to just 600 pieces, the Carrera Chronograph 60th Anniversary Edition is deeply inspired by the iconic timepiece and a collectors’ favourite, the Heuer Carrera 2447 SN from the late 1960s. This timepiece also marks the beginning of the year of Carrera’s 60th anniversary celebrations.
The 2023 edition comes in a 39mm polished steel case, set with vintage pushers and a raised ‘glass box’ sapphire crystal. With this timepiece, the signature panda dial returns in a combination of silver and black. Further accentuating the dial is the presence of beige lume, a vintage Heuer logo at 12 o’clock and the word ‘Swiss’ present in the counter at six o’clock.
Turning the watch over reveals a sapphire crystal caseback, which offers a fantastic view of the Heuer 02 calibre working within. This in-house automatic chronograph calibre delivers a power reserve of 80 hours. The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph 60th Anniversary Edition comes in a sporty perforated black calfskin racing strap with a pin buckle.
TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph
The ground-breaking story of the Solargraph began last year at the 2022 Watches & Wonders trade fair, with the unveiling of the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Solargraph. It marked the first TAG Heuer watch and Aquaracer to feature a solar-powered movement. This year, TAG Heuer expands the series with the introduction of the Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph—the perfect watch for endless adventure and exploration.
Featuring a bold, active and contemporary design code, the Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph is made from titanium, which gives it an impeccable metallic look with added durability, lightness and a unique design aesthetic. Dedicated to the outdoors, the Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph uses light from the sun to power the Super-LumiNova elements of the watch, which includes the black indexes, hour and minute hands, and the polar-blue lacquered central hands. The use of polar blue elements on the dial is intended as a tribute to the northern lights from the Arctic Circle.
The 40mm sandblasted titanium case houses the solargraph movement Calibre TH50-00, developed in partnership with the manufacture La Joux-Perret in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. With this special movement, there is no need to change the battery as it is recharged by the sun or artificial light. All it takes is two-minutes of exposure to direct sunlight for the watch to be fully charged for an entire day. Adding the final touch to the watch is the sand-blasted grade 2 titanium bracelet, which gives the watch an added sporty persona.
TAG Heuer Monza Flyback Chronometer
If there was one watch in the world that one can never tire of, it would be the Monza. With over 160 years of historical significance behind the iconic watch, the TAG Heuer Monza has always made an impression with each new rendition. The Swiss watchmaker brings back this classic for 2023 in a special reinterpretation of its famed ancestor.
The new TAG Heuer Monza Flyback Chronometer unveiled at the 2023 LVMH Watch Week is a special edition timepiece with modern aesthetics. The 42mm case is made of ultra-lightweight and resistant carbon, while the striking black skeletonised dial houses a translucent fumé blue sapphire crystal chronograph counter at three o’clock and the permanent seconds at six o’clock. The date window at nine o’clock on a blue luminescent background marks a first for TAG Heuer.
Under the unique dial sits the highly precise in-house Calibre Heuer 02 Flyback, a chronograph movement with COSC certification. The flyback function allows the wearer to reset the chronograph without stopping it. This feature was only available on the TAG Heuer Autavia series earlier.
Branded a true collector’s piece, the new TAG Heuer Monza Flyback Chronometer comes equipped with a sporty black textile strap and is presented in special packaging.
TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Sport Edition 45mm
Exploring new athletic territories is the new TAG Heuer Connected Sport Edition 45mm. Equipped with new functions and a redesigned strap, the new Sport Edition Connected watch is a must-have for athletes and fitness enthusiasts, simply based on the innumerable features and functions it offers. From monitoring any sporting activity to a wide range of data offered, the luxury Connected watch has it all. It features a new ‘Trail and Hiking’ application for runners and hikers, a barometer that allows the user to track different gradients of multiple sporting activities. The new Trail and Hiking activities feature enriches the watch’s monitoring capabilities even further, especially with the help of the fine-tuned barometer. All of this and more is made accessible with the help of a rubber insert on all 45mm models (like the crown) making the watch easier to grip, even with wet hands.
The newly redesigned rubber strap enhances the wearer’s experience in action. It is available in three colours—red, orange, and blue—in a fine mesh that allows the skin to breathe. Additionally, the presence of a pin buckle offers a better fit on the wrist, especially during a workout.
TAG Heuer Connected Calibre 42mm—Golf Edition
With this new Golf Edition Connected watch, TAG Heuer promises to bring forward a ‘no distractions, just golf’ theme. The 42mm TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Golf Edition is pegged as the ‘lightest-ever Connected watch’ made till date. It features a variety of new algorithms that are set to revolutionise the performance of golf enthusiasts.
With a promise to take your game to a new level, the watch features a new ‘Full Shot Tracking’ functionality, which allows a complete tracking of all the shots made during a game, without the need to touch your watch at all. All of these tracked shots are then allocated to a club, wherein the player can analyse their progress over time, and make changes to their game accordingly.
In terms of interface, the new TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Golf Edition offers a redesigned interface that is easier to control. These include high-resolution 2D maps of more than 40,000 golf courses around the world. The hardware of the watch includes a 42mm case structure made from black titanium, a special bezel that displays the hole numbering from one to 18, sapphire crystal for the watch glass, and a steel crown and pushers. The signature white rubber strap now features the TAG Heuer logo. An additional black leather strap with green stitching is also available with the 2023 TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Golf Edition.
TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 42mm In Black Titanium
Besides their targeted Connected watches, TAG Heuer also introduces the Connected Calibre E4 42mm in Black Titanium. Dedicated for normal use for both men and women (42mm case size), this urban, sporty and elegant all-black watch makes for the perfect everyday smartwatch that all of us need on our wrists right now.
Despite its size, the 42mm case size offers a perfect fit on the wrists of both men and women. Additionally, the use of matte grade 2 titanium in all-black allows the wearer a lightweight and extremely resistant daily Connected companion. Like many of its other counterparts, the 2023 all-black version houses a host of watch faces and personalisation options, a chronograph-inspired design, with crowns and pushers, in a high-end digital experience. The digital services include custom timing apps, wellness and performance trackers, all functions related to golf as well as the recently-launched trail and hiking activities, with precise altitude tracking.
The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 42 mm in black titanium comes with smooth black rubber interchangeable straps, with many strap design options sold separately.
