March is a crucial year for watch enthusiasts as there is buzz mounting up to Baselworld, the biggest watch fair in the world. Baselworld 2018 was just as special, and spread over six days, there were some massive launches exclusively for women, from brands such as Bulgari, Rado, Omega, TAG Heuer, Longines and many more. 1. Omega Trésor – The All-New Ladies’ Line
This year, Omega has reinforced its strength of creating beautiful and technically sound ladies dress watches – such as the Constellation and Ladymatic series – with a new line called Trésor. These watches come in 36 or 39mm cases made of steel or 18-carat Sedna gold, featuring diamonds running down from the top-left lug to approximately the eight o’clock position and diagonally opposite to that. The dial, in black, white, taupe-brown, blue, opaline, silver or mother of pearl, features elongated Roman numeral hour markers, while you can choose a strap in leather or satin in various colour options. The case houses the Omega calibre 4061, and has a structured crown with a floral pattern that is also seen on the mirror caseback.

2. Corum Golden Bridge Round 39mm – Haute Joaillerie
Another venerable watch this year by Corum is the uniquely constructed Golden Bridge Round 39mm. This opulent novelty dedicated to women is bequeathed with high jewellery lacework gem-setting and houses the brand’s famous linear movement. The horizontal baguette movement in this dainty 39mm case features a half-moon on each side, which spawns innovative geometric symmetries. When it comes to branded watches for women, all eyes are set on the casa di Bulgari and their flagship collection, the Serpenti. At Baselworld 2018, the brand was far from disappointing, presenting the new Serpenti – an epitome of ‘innovative artisanal technique’. Synonymous with feminine sensuality and mused after the nimbleness of the snake, the 2018 Serpenti exhibits a double tubogas bracelet combining three different colours of 18-carat gold, in yellow, white and pink. 4. Carl F. Bucherer Adamavi Automatic – A Milanese Mesh For Your Wrist
This all-steel timepiece from Carl F. Bucherer is a perfect neutral-toned watch. One of the nine new and updated Adamavi variations, this one comes in a round, 31mm steel case, water resistant to 30m, and runs on an automatic movement, the CFB 1963 calibre with a power reserve of 38 hours. 5. Oris Big Crown Pointer Date – A Bronze Beauty
For the first time, the Oris Big Crown is in a case made of bronze – the metal du jour. This new version is in a modest size of 36mm, making it a unisex watch. A sublime green dial and a soft brown leather strap make it a visually soothing and impressive piece.
