May We Recommend
Vacation and holidays immediately bring destinations to our mind. It goes without saying that everyone dreams of travelling around the world all year round, but only a few are able to turn this dream into reality. Admit it, we all have a bucket list! So, when we do get a chance to explore the world, we should plan our travels meticulously. And this includes taking along our most reliable companion – our watch.
We’ve shortlisted 5 most visited and popular destinations for you (from big cities to the great outdoors, in no particular order), one of which would surely be on your wish list. And we’ve chosen the most suitable watch that’s just right for each:
1. The United States of America – Carl F. Bucherer Patravi TravelTec FourX
The United States is the dream destination for one and all. It is one of the largest and most diverse countries that boasts of amazing tourist attractions ranging from the avenues and skyscrapers of New York and Chicago to the ‘Fabulous Las Vegas’; and from the natural wonders of Alaska to the sunny beaches of California, Florida, and Hawaii. Some of the best dining, shopping and nightlife experiences in the world can be found across American cities. The country is full of adventures and is so vast that it has nine time zones! With so many time zones, a holiday in the USA means frequent changing of time, and the Carl F. Bucherer TravelTec FourX is the only watch that comes to our mind as your perfect companion.
A timepiece especially made for someone who travels a lot, it includes a triple time zone display with GMT indicator, bi-directional rotating bezel, a COSC Certified chronometer chronograph, a skeleton dial, magnified unique date indicator and a quad-material case. With its flawless design and horological engineering, it comes as close as possible to horological perfection.
Apart from what it does, it wears comfortably too. The watch is fitted with a secure and comfortable strap with two types of rubber, aptly suited for those long haul flights. The numbers are well proportioned and give the watch a well-balanced, energetic and a clear face for quick time references. And, of course, you can keep a track of multiple time zones with just the simple push of a button.
2. United Arab Emirates – Titoni Airmaster
The United Arab Emirates is a multifaceted destination blending a rich culture & history with modern feats of splendor. Sophisticated tourists flock to this thriving metropolis that boasts of over the top luxury with a myriad of amenities and activities that exist nowhere else in the world. With a cosmopolitan nightlife and an authentic environment that includes exploring the desert via luxury jeep tours, camel rides and sand buggies, the entire family will remember the UAE as the ideal vacation destination for exploration, relaxation and luxury.
The watch to take along with you during your vacation to UAE is definitely the Titoni Airmaster. If you ask me, it’s the ideal fit – it combines heritage, design and mechanics exceptionally, making it versatile for your vacation look. The Airmaster was introduced to the world in 1969 and this 40 mm watch is a true reflection of the brand’s long-standing passion for the art of fine watchmaking (nearly a century now to their history of producing watches).
The white sunray dial with Swarovski index markers gives the watch a striking appearance. The narrow bezel on the dial ensures better visibility and offers a minimalistic approach to the overall design. The dual-toned bracelet is made of high-quality PVD coated stainless steel. Sitting perfectly on the wrist, it incarnates a classic timepiece that can be worn every day during your vacation (however innocently or as excessively you choose to).
3. Australia & New Zealand – TAG Heuer Connected

What could be the major reasons to visit Australia and New Zealand? The list is long. From snorkelling amid neon fish in the Great Barrier Reef, hiking trails in Queenstown, to the spectacular views of the mountain ranges – these countries offer some unique tourism opportunities. A destination that is on my personal wish list for a great getaway to escape the mundane life.
The technologically advanced TAG Heuer Connected is the ideal watch for an action-packed destination. Built with modern and contemporary designs, this first Android Wear watch from TAG is becoming the preferred tool for hikers, backpackers and outdoor lovers. The TAG Heuer Connected uses an Intel dual-core 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z34XX CPU. A hardware that is snappy and responsive as it should be for all your extreme activities.
With this watch, you can do everything you’d expect to – check messages, flip through those notifications with wrist gestures, start timers, archive emails, get reminders on upcoming events, perform voice Google searches, control music, take notes, and check the weather.

By pressing the watch crown you can control some specific functions, while all the features are controlled either by tapping and swiping the screen or by pressing the crown. Altimeter? Check. Barometer? Check. Compass? Check. You bet. And there are many other features that let us determine our average speed, the number of calories we have burnt or the distance left until we reach our destination.
Because the watch is made of Titanium, it’s extremely light on the wrist. The quality, as you’d expect, is first-class and the level of detail on the digital watch face is incredible. The vulcanised strap looks and feels great and is comfortable to wear. It is made of rubber to add a bit more of durability for all your extreme activities planned.

The watch comes with three standard dials, each of which offers three colour options – classic (black), blue or white. An everyday watch, its battery life lasts a day, meaning daily charge cycles are a must.

4. Italy – Panerai Luminor 1950
The world loves Italy. A country that’s as varied as the palettes of its great Renaissance artists, awash with colour and culture, fashion, food, art and ‘la dolce vita’! It’s home to some of the world’s greatest and the most beautiful cities – Rome, Venice, Florence – as well as charming and rugged towns and villages. There is no place else on Earth where one feels so alive and majestic. From pizzerias and cafes that let you soak in the destinations, to sceneries that range from breath-taking islands to the snow-capped Alps, in Italy, literally, every stone has a story!
Panerai is the perfect choice for your planned trip to Italy. Not to mention, Panerai is the official timekeeper of the Italian Navy. Their watches are the perfect blend of Italian design and Swiss technology. Among the most striking traits are the big cushion case, exceptionally legible and simple dial with the super-legible fonts and a versatile assortment of straps. People who enjoy the brand because of its minimalist military style and iconic case are often referred to as “Paneristis”, and you’ll find so many of them in Italy!
The Luminor Submersible has all the traits you would expect from a stylish Italian watch, starting with the brushed titanium meant to keep it’s sporty and rugged appeal intact. The watch’s dial has an uncluttered look, with stencil-style numerals and indices that glow brightly in the dark. The crown is covered with a small lever of brushed steel, also referred to as the half-crescent crown guard (tight seal device) that when pulled (with finger or nail) releases the crown. Once the crown is released, it can be pulled and turned. It’s an inventive device that shields the crown, which has become a defining visual differentiator for the brand.
Water resistant to 300 meters, the military style case would have been incomplete without the perfect strap – rubber with a polished titanium buckle.
5. Indonesia – Oris Aquis Depth Gauge
An Indonesian vacation is the ultimate tropical getaway. With lush beaches, pulsating cities, enchanting temples and a fusion of captivating cultures packed into more than 18,000 islands; the Republic of Indonesia is a medley of new experiences.
To experience Indonesia’s beautiful attractions like surfing, diving or snorkelling in the glowing oceanic life, Oris Aquis Depth Gauge is a natural choice. Oris is widely considered to be the quintessential professional-grade divers’ watch. And this masterpiece has achieved a watch-world milestone, as it is the first divers’ watch that is able to measure depth by allowing water to enter the timepiece!
The watch uses the patented principle of the Boyle Mariotte law, which states that if the volume of a gas is decreased, the pressure increases proportionally. How the system works is that the sapphire crystal of the watch, which is a full 50 percent thicker than an average one, has a channel milled into its side that runs counterclockwise to the dial and stops between 1 and 2 o’clock. A hole at 12 o’clock leads to the channel, allows water to enter while a rubber gasket seals the joint between crystal and case. As the diver descends wearing the watch, the surrounding water pressure compresses the air inside the channel and allows water to seep in through the inlet at 12 o’clock. The deeper you go, the harder the water pushes and this struggle of air and water can be seen on the gauge as a function of depth. The brilliance of the system is that it is simple, unobtrusive and useful.
The Oris Caliber 733 powers the movement. The 46mm watch is produced in steel and is equipped with a black ceramic insert in the rotating diver’s bezel. The dial’s indices and hands are coated with white Super-LumiNova, which according to Oris, offers excellent underwater legibility (and we don’t doubt that). With a water resistance of up to 500 meters, the Depth Gauge is an extremely durable and faithful companion whether you are deep diving or enjoying a relaxed sunset drink on a yacht .
We know we couldn’t include all the fantastic destinations in one post, so mention your favourite ones in the comments below and we’ll feature them in our next post!
