Features
The Graham Fortress collection is named after the WW2-era bomber, the B-17 Flying Fortress. Heavily inclined towards the second world war, the brand features large luminescent hour markers and a date window at the 9 o'clock marker. The Fortress collection is a chronograph and the sub-dials working as one are fitted in the usual Graham style at the 3 and 6 o'clock marker displaying hour and the 30-minute counter, respectively. What makes this Graham unique is the absence of the proprietary crown protector. Instead, the Fortress is a monopusher with the crown for adjusting the time and the pusher protruding from inside the crown controlling the sub-dials.
Design
With large hour markers and hands, the Graham Fortress collection is undeniably a larger-than-life figure. What makes this collection of timepieces stand apart from the crowd is an onion-shaped crown. The crown on the left side offers a perfectly posted masculine silhouette. Whereas, in a few timepieces the chronographs are fitted in a fashion that makes them both readable and useful.
The GMT Series
Inside the Graham Fortress collection lies the GMT series. The first of its kind from the house of Graham, the Fortress GMT series also allows the user to read a second time zone. Equipped with a mechanism for correcting the hour hand with just a push, it makes a traveller adjust its timepiece with ease. The second time zone is displayed by a long arrow hand pointing toward the outer bezel displaying the second time zone.
