Despite a legacy of crafting robust and enduring timepieces since their establishment in 1926, Tudor ventured into the realm of elegance with the Clair de Rose collection. This series of refined dress watches for women stands as a testament to Tudor's ability to seamlessly combine strength and sophistication. Drawing upon decades of expertise and tradition, Tudor masterfully incorporate elegant elements into every facet of the collection's design and construction. Initially launched in 2011 and reintroduced in 2017, this collection embodies femininity and grace, meticulously tailored for the modern woman.
Behind The Rose
The Clair de Rose from Tudor is a timeless collection that charmingly intertwines two elements: "clair de lune," meaning "moonlight" in French, and the brand's vintage rose logo. This fusion pays homage to both the celestial beauty of moonlight and the brand's historical symbol. A rose-shaped seconds hand previously adorned the dial of the watch, infusing it with a sense of delicate beauty. However today, a Clair de Rose popularly flaunts a guilloché pattern at the centre, designed creatively to follow the seconds markers that surround it.
Each timepiece within the Clair de Rose collection showcases features designed to epitomise elegance and sophistication. From the classic round case to the radiant opaline dial, even the blue spinel cabochon-set crown, every detail is intricately added to ensure unparalleled beauty. The watches are traditionally affixed with their steel bracelet featuring “rice-grain” links. All Clair de Rose watches are powered by high-precision self-winding movements. The 34mm watch is fuelled by the robust calibre T601, while the 26mm and 30mm are powered by calibre T201.
In 2024, Tudor introduced an exciting addition to the collection at Watches and Wonders: timepieces featuring captivating blue dials. This latest introduction adds a new dimension of refinement to the Clair de Rose lineup.
