Tudor's Pelagos collection, named after the Greek word for "deep sea," embodies the brand's dedication to excellence in diving watch craftsmanship. Launched in 2012, the Pelagos represents a contemporary interpretation of the brand's classic diver's timepieces, engineered to meet the rigorous demands of professional divers. In 2023, the Pelagos 39 was honoured as a recipient of the Sports Watch Prize at the GPHG, further solidifying its status as an exemplar of horological excellence.

A standout characteristic of the Pelagos is its lightweight yet robust titanium case and bracelet. Titanium, prized for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and resistance to corrosion, is used within the collection to offer durability without compromising comfort, even during extended periods of use underwater. Additionally, the use of a ceramic bezel adds a scratch-resistant factor. In the realm of horological engineering, the Pelagos features Tudor's proprietary movements, renowned for its chronometric precision and reliability. Certified as a chronometer by COSC, the self-winding movement powering the Pelagos watches boasts a stealthy power reserve of 70 hours.
The new and upgraded version of Pelagos comes with a water-resistant rating ranging from 100 to 500m. This impressive water resistance is achieved through a combination of features, including a screw-down crown and meticulously engineered case construction designed to withstand immense pressure. The Pelagos's luminescent display is another highlight, with generously sized hour markers and hands treated with Tudor's specialised luminous material, Chromalight. This luminescence emits a sustained blue glow, a critical feature for divers exploring the depths.
Pelagos FXD
Launched in 2021, FXD, short for "fixed," derives its name from the fixed strap bars, offering an ideal complement to NATO-strapped timepieces and proving particularly suitable for dive watches. Tudor's deep-rooted association with the US Navy, which could be traced back to the mid-1950s, is given an impressive homage with the Tudor Pelagos FXD.
