This design, featuring the engraved BVLGARI BVLGARI logo on the bezel, became a symbol of prestige and innovation. The inspiration for this distinctive feature came from ancient Roman coins, where inscriptions of power surrounded the imagery of emperors. Similarly, the cylindrical case of the BVLGARI BVLGARI was inspired by the columns of Roman temples, showcasing a design that, while seemingly simple, was the result of meticulous architectural study. This marked the beginning of a new era of design experimentation for the brand.

The BVLGARI BVLGARI watch is characterised by pure, simple, yet robust lines. The twice-engraved BVLGARI logo on the bezel earned the timepiece the nickname "BB."
