About the Doxa SUB 300 Collection
The introduction of the Doxa SUB 300 in 1967 was the beginning of a great dive timekeeping era. The watch that quickly captured the market became a real industry heavyweight in 1968 when Jacques-Yves Cousteau and the crew of the ship Calypso spotlighted it and its outstanding utility to TV audiences worldwide in the series ‘The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau'. The SUB 300's unique double-scale bezel, showing depths in orange and time in black, changed how dive watches work. The new-generation DOXA SUB 300 pays homage to the most inventive watch of the late 1960s, taking us back to the early days of contemporary diving pioneers.
Innovative Design
The Doxa SUB 300's design is distinctive and functional, highlighted by its broad, flat case that tapers smoothly to the wrist. With a diameter of 42.5mm, the SUB 300 creates a striking visual impact. A SUB 300's dial comes with a radiant sunburst texture, combined with black hour markers lined with Super-Luminova, enhancing legibility and aesthetic appeal. The hour and minute hands are uniquely proportioned, with a greatly oversized minute hand and a puny hour hand, which contrasts the typical dive watch design.
Cutting-Edge Features
The SUB 300's features stand out in performance and practicality. Doxa offer the SUB 300 in seven distinct versions in its stainless steel lineup, including brighter shades like yellow and orange to subtle tones of white and black. These watches are paired with versatile beads of rice steel bracelet or a cut-to-fit rubber strap with a folding clasp and ratcheting dive suit extension. The watch houses a the Sellita SW200-1 automatic mechanical movement, with 38 hours of reserve power. This reliable movement adds significant value, ensuring precision and durability for divers and watch enthusiasts.
