Montblanc Sport

History

Montblanc was established as a brand manufacturing exquisite writing implements since 1906. The company however, ventured in the field of horology only in 1997. They embarked on their journey of watchmaking legacy with the foundation of Montblanc Montre S.A. in Le Locle. It was in the Salon International de Haute Horlogerie (SIHH), leading watch fair in Geneva that Montblanc unveiled its skillfully handcrafted Meisterstück watches for the very first time. The Sport collection from Montblanc is a collection with timepieces for both men and women, catering to a large number of watch aficionados.

Design

The Sport collection from Montblanc has been engineered in a way that suits an energetic lifestyle. Every men’s watch is adorned with luminescent white hands against a black dial, ex-cept model number 104280, which features an unusual white dial. Quite a few watches feature two circular sub dials, one at six o’clock and the other at 12 ‘clock for seconday functions. The women’s watches are available in a choice of stainless steel metallic wristlet or white rubber strap. Diamond hour markers are used to add a touch of feminity.

Features

The watches featured in the men’s collection are an indisputable blend of masculinity and dynamism. The robustness featured by the timepieces are particularly clear from the Montblanc Sport chronographs, with its tough stainless steel case and black Diamond like Carbon (DLC) coating in some. This provides for the watches’ ability to resist corrosion. Both the men and women collection have scratch-resistant and water-resistant properties, with sapphire crystals and screwed case-backs.
