History

Seiko has been in the business of innovative watchmaking since 1881. With years of experience under its belt, Seiko has managed to build watches that are both futuristic and retain the traditionality of watchmaking. It was on Christmas Eve of 1969 that Seiko decided to reshape the watchmaking world by releasing the world's first quartz watch, the Seiko Quartz Astron. The Astron is also fitted with three sub-dials featuring either chronographs or various functions such as day/date, power reserve, and second-time zone.
