About the Seiko Lord Collection
History
The Seiko Lord collection was Seiko's mid-range line of high-quality automatic watches targeting the growing masses of white-collar office workers prospering under a booming Japanese economy. They typically used unadjusted versions of the same movements housed by King Seiko during the early to mid-1970s. While Seiko produced a seemingly endless range of models under the Lord badge, this particular model is a favourite with its fine linen dial, Taro Tanaka lines, and super-sharp case.
Features
One of the few timepieces inside the brand's huge arsenal that are offered in special stones. Featuring special stones on the bezel and intricately crafted dials, the timepieces under the collection also feature a few chronographs and power reserve indicators. In some of the timepieces, there is also a date window at the 12 o'clock marker.

First why Seiko? Seiko is perhaps one of those brands which I came to know during my childhood. My dad uses a 35 year old Seiko manual watch and still it runs fantastic. The steel bands are still holding to the wrist quite firmly and the lock has not waned away its capability after all these years. So when I thought of buying my first watch with my own money, Seiko is the obvious choice.
The watch is a stunner, which may vary individually, to me. The blackish-blue bezel made it more attractive. The first time I saw the watch I liked it. It was a perfect watch for any occasion, be it formal or casual. The build is very good and the crown operations feels very definitive. The hands are also worked to perfection and you can observe the slightest movements of the minute hand for every second. The band lock sounds very certain and confident. I'm really happy with the quality of the watch and I'm quite confident that this watch will be a long-time partner of mine.
Well !! Bought this watch from Ethos Online !! A fantastic experience I must say. They offered me a price for this watch which I couldn't resist when no other was giving any sort of deals (read discounts). And they delivered the watch within 3 working days of ordering the watch. Great packaging also. I'm really happy with the service that Ethos provided. -
