About the Rado DiaStar Original Collection
History
Rado was not a very well-known brand in the world of watchmaking during the 1960s. It was in 1962, the brand gained the recognition it deserved with the launch of the Rado DiaStar Original collection. This was the first scratch-resistant watch in the world and while the watchmakers were busy complicating the mechanical aspect of a timepiece, Rado solely concentrated on the aesthetical aspect of it.

The DiaStar Original fits the bill for the bold and ageless appeal of the first DiaStar. The diamonds at quarter hour positions appears sparkling on the black dial.The brand name makes the owner proud who will love to flaunt this time keeper in evening parties. The strap is crafted with stainless steel which enhances the elegance of this time teller. The links in the strap looks very trendy and sophisticated. This time keeper is powered by high precision quartz movement which makes it very accurate. Rado the renowned luxury watchmaker, known for its use of sapphire glass cover, uses it here and makes this watch scratch resistant.
